Welcome!
My name is Megan. I'm a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a degree in International Affairs. I'm am a person of contradictions and conundrums and as you peruse my site, you will see a variety of experiences and interests that are not necessarily expected of an International Affairs major. Though my major be International Affairs, I have a wide variety of other interests and talents.
When I entered UC in Autumn of 2009, I was an Industrial Design major within the DAAP (Design Architecture Art and Planning) college. I loved my first year and a half. However, a particularly rowdy game of intramural soccer led to a torn ACL, knee surgery and the inability to complete the year. As I waited a year to re-enter the program where I had left, I discovered my interest in politics, culture, multidisciplinary classes and decided to switch into International Affairs. I haven't lost my interest in design in the slightest, but I now prefer to dabble in it through basic marketing design and good ol' fashioned crafts. Please look at my DESIGN WORK section for an overview of my doings.
It's been a wild ride for the past few years. Packed full of achievements, failures and frustrations and joy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. My goal post graduation is to work abroad - whether by teaching, volunteering, or government work. If I've learned anything in the last 4 years, it's that you never know where life's going to take you. So hold tight, bring along the people you love most and enjoy it!
